The man whose story is the basis of the just-released theatrical film Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell, is coming to speak at the Tampa Theater in March as part of hisPatriot Tour 2014.
According to the Tampa Theatre's website, tickets are $67 for general admission and $257 with a VIP Meet & Greet and reserved seating.
Lone Survivor is an adaptation of Luttrell's 2007 New York Times best-selling memoir of the same name, which tells the story of a firefight in Afghanistan in which he was the only survivor amongst three other Navy Seal colleagues.
In addition, eight members of the Seals and eight Army special operations soldiers who came by helicopter to rescue the original four were also shot down and killed. Luttrell was then rescued by a group of Afghan Pashtun villagers who harbored him in their homes for several days, protecting him from the Taliban and ultimately helping him to safety.
Luttrell appears at the Tampa Theater on Tuesday March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
