Coco and Homo, aka Colleen Cherry and Zachary Hines, wormed their way into our hearts a couple of years ago with their entertaining cabaret lunacy, chock full of fun interactive games, spirited musical numbers and bitchy jokes galore. We even gave them Best of the Bay for "Best (Only?) Trashtastic Cabaret in 2011.
[jump]Individually Cherry and Hines have enjoyed success as actors and singers in local theater, community and cabaret projects, but together they're a superduo of supreme sassitude.
Their next multimedia entertainment venture should be no less fun. SexXx Dreams will be staged this spring and has its own Indiegogo campaign to raise funds.
For this cabaret performance, the duo, with the help of illustrator Laura Spencer, plan to push the envelope way out of the post office with a show that encompasses more than anything they've done in the past. Sexxx Dreams will be a musical/visual/performance art experience that doesn't shy away from sexual taboos, gender roleplaying and fetish. It will encompass 50-plus artists, burlesque performers, musicians, actors and cabaret artists. All proceeds from alcohol sales will go to Equality Florida.
