In the new Spike Jonze film, Her, Joaquin Phoenix's character falls in love with his computer's operating system (OS), which is basically an advanced version of Siri. Considering the abundance of news stories about guys falling in love with cars, pillows, and online girlfriends, as well as the race by Japanese engineers to make a fully functional sex doll, the idea of a guy loving his OS doesn't seem that far fetched, particularly if the OS has the voice of Scarlett Johansson. What is a bit less believable is a woman falling in love with a male OS. In this short parody, Alison G. Vingiano, Paul Gale and Daniel Hubbard explore the absurdities of a woman falling for an OS that has the voice and personality of a Seth Rogen character.
