The comedian/actor — who offers an endless slew of bon mots and aphorisms known as Haverfordisms on Parks and Rec— has been doing his own brand of sociological research on relationships and is writing a book about it, a follow-up to his comedy special Buried Alive.
Ansari told The Daily Beast that his own misadventures in love inspired his book and "Modern Romance" stand-up tour.
“I wasn’t interested in just documenting my various foibles,” he told the publication. “I’m working with a lot of academics and really smart people to figure out how to study this stuff.”
