Misconception has been touted in all the local events sections as "a sexy supernatural comedy" about a young Hollywood couple who get more than they bargained for when they discover that the apartment of their dreams is haunted.

Sexy and supernatural? Hmm. Makes me curious if there's a poltergeist who swings both ways or if it morphs into both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie while dropping in on the couple.

The play had a sold-out run at the Venue Ensemble Theatre this past summer and stars Brick, Karleigh Chase, Elaine Cloud Goller, Daniel J. Harris and Darrin Ortiz.

Misconception is Joseph Alan Johnson's seventh play performed locally. His recent comedies include See You Next Tuesday and Green Card Wedding Bridesmaid, staged the world premiere of his play Cellmate Confessions at the Studio@620. Johnson is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is an award-winning actor.

Shows are Mon.-Wed., Feb. 3-5, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors and students with ID. Reservations are recommended. The Studio@620 is located at 620 First Avenue South in Downtown St. Petersburg. studio620.org.
