Commemorate Black History Month: At John F. Germany Library, in the Kotler Art Gallery, a display of the Burgert Brothers depicting local African-Americans in and around Tampa Bay during the early 20th century. One of the three plays this season to garner a five-star review, Two Trains Running takes us back to 1969, and in Memphis Lee’s diner in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, seven African-Americans gather to talk about money and death and social justice. Bob Devin Jones directs this time, and the play stars Kim Sullivan, Alan Bomar Jones and ranney joining a tiptop cast. Note: when Hambone says he wants his ham, he — and Wilson — aren’t kidding.
