Tampa Bay Beer Week kicked off Thursday with a Meet The Brewers party at Creative Loafing's CL Space. The event, which coincided with CL's Drinking Issue , was attended by an enthusiastic crowd anxious to taste the variety of beer available from Cigar City Brewing, Cycle Brewing, 7venth Sun Brewery, and Tampa Bay Brewing Company on Thursday.

The brewers each brought samples of special beer and spoke with attendees about the brewing process and the unique qualities of their product

A Q & A session was part of the evening with reps from the different breweries talking about their plans for Tampa Bay Beer Week 2014.

The proceeds from the night went to The Laundry Project, which assists low-income families with meeting a basic need — washing clothes and linens.
Current Laundry Project was the recipient of proceeds from the Meet the Brewers Party

Tampa Bay Beer Week continues through Sunday March 9, 2014
