Art, awards, music and chicken and waffles - for free.  The USF Contemporary Art Museum is hosting the opening reception for Irreconcilable Differences, the MFA 2014 graduation exhibit, on Saturday, March 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The annual exhibition features the research projects of MFA candidates in the School of Art & Art History.  At 7 p.m., Margaret Miller, the Director of the Institute of USFCAM and the Institute for Research Art will introduce the graduating MFA artists.  Wallace Wilson, the Director of the USF School of Art & Art History will announce the winners of the 38th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition and Art History Research Paper Competition.

The reception will be catered by In Bloom, a bangin' local catering company.  They'll be providing those chicken and waffles.  Score.

If you need even more art in your life, you can mosey next door to the Fine Arts Hall and take a peek at the 16th annual Arthouse.   Arthouse is an open house featuring hundreds of pieces of artwork and videos, created by USF students.  Arthouse opens at 8 p.m.  You can hang out there until closing time at 11 p.m. and enjoy performances, food and drinks while you check out some sweet original art.
