Bummed out that Gasparilla is behind us? Fear not! You can still get your pirate fix this month. The Tampa Bay History Center is hosting a family-friendly urban scavenger hunt on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Great Caper: Calling All Buccaneerskicks off with a pirate-themed scavenger hunt through the galleries of the History Center. For you cartography enthusiasts, check out the special exhibit, Charting the Land of Flowers: 500 Years of Florida Maps.

When you’re done exploring the History Center, continue scavenging for clues at the waterfront downtown, hang out with some pirates from the West Coast Mutineers and commandeer ride the TECO streetcar while learning about real Florida pirates. The Great Caper ends back at the History Center, where you can take home some booty after a costume contest and a raffle for prizes.

The event costs $14 per child and $20 per adult and includes admission to the History Center for the day and streetcar fare. Tickets are available until 11 a.m. on March 29, but pre-registration is encouraged.
