“Make sure I know that this is a museum fundraiser and not a porn party.”
Those were the instructions my editor gave me when I was assigned to promote Pride & Passion 2014. (Makes me wonder what she thinks I do in my down time!) The Tampa Museum of Art's Pride season kickoff and fundraiser gala, which takes place tonight from 8 p.m. to midnigh is not a porn party, but it is totally a gay fantasy come to life.
For$50, you get full gallery access to the museum (lovely culture), heavy hors d’oeuvres by Timpano Italian Chophouse (haute cuisine carbs), dessert and coffee by Piquant Hyde Park (haute desert, more carbs and caffeine), drinks from Tito’s Vodka Cocktails and Wine Exchange Champagne Bar (swanky booze). All the proceeds go to support the Museum’s educational programs (selfless philanthropy) and promote diversity in the Tampa Bay community (righteous political movement).
Swoon! Just talking about it makes my heart go pitter patter. Pride & Passion is the kind of place where one could meet the gay version of Mr. Darcy.
