It's the final weekend of Jobsite Theater's All New People and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a sense of humor and repressed angst — Jack Holloway turns in my favorite male performance of the year so far, and the rest of the cast is great too. True West, the seminal Sam Shephard play, runs this weekend only at Studio@620.

2001: A Space Odyssey, the film that set a new standard for sci-fi and cinematic storytelling, launches another selection of Tampa Theatre Summer Classics Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. The series has some of my personal favorites: To Kill A Mockingbird, Saturday Night Fever, Blazing Saddles, and I look forward to (finally) seeing Lawrence of Arabia— on the big screen in Tampa's most historic and lovely cinema palace.
