St. Petersburg is changing the fate of young artists, one dollop at a time.
For the last two weeks of May, the community came together to support The Morean Center’s Summer Art Program for children by creating the ultimate collaborative art piece.
The project, headed by local artist Dawn Marie and the Crislip Arcade on Central, was meant to not only inspire the folks surrounding the area, but to also help develop young talent by supporting them financially on what could possibly be a life changing summer experience at the Morean Arts Center.
The canvas stood in front on Marie’s studio, inside the Crislip Arcade, everyday for two hours until May 31. On the last day, the finished piece was raffled amongst those whom participated in the project.
