Is your cultural, non-profit organization interested in applying for a 2014-2015 Cultural Development Grant? Make sure to sign up early and attend the required workshop.
All nonprofit arts organizations interested in participating are encouraged to attend an informative workshop which will be held on Tuesday, June 24 from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County at 1002 E. Palm Ave.. This workshop session is required for all including existing and prior grantees.
The workshop, conducted by the Arts Council staff, will include information about the grant process, eligibility requirements, finance and budgets, proposals, and scoring guidelines. The arts council enforces that all its participants (or those with interest in participating) have a general understanding of the process of application, as the number 1 cause of unsuccessful applications is due to incomplete paperwork and failure to understand basic rules and regulations.
Past recipients have ranged from small to large groups working in a variety of areas, however if you are in doubt about the guidelines, please visit the Arts Council organization grants page for eligibility requirements and other information. If your organization wants to be considered for the grant, you must sign up by calling the Arts Council at 813-276-8250 to register or to be placed on the waiting list.
