Wednesday, July 17
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) meets from 6:30 — 8 p.m. at Metro Wellness and Community Center’s Tampa location, 1315 E. 7th Ave. The GLSEN meets the third Wednesday of every month and strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation of gender identity/expression. Meetings are open to the public.
Thursday, July 18
The Broken Tusk, 4685 28th St. N., St. Petersburg, kicks off its weekly Krave Ladies Night which will be held every Thursday, 9 p.m. — 3 a.m. Enjoy karaoke and dancing with DJ LMo.
Got a rant or a story or a poem? Pick up the mic and show off your stuff at Oral Fixation’s LGBTQ monthly open mic on Thursday, April 18 at Ybor City’s R Bar, 1820 North 15th St., Tampa. Doors open at 9; show starts at 10 p.m. Performers of all types are welcome and encouraged to share their art.
Friday, July 19
Flamingo Resort, 4601 34th St. S., St. Pete, revisits the decade of neon and spandex with its ‘80s party. Music from the decade will be provided by DJ Anderson all night. Plus, there will be contests for biggest hair and craziest platform shoes, drink specials, and raffles for concert tickets to see Depeche Mode and the Psychedelic Furs. The party starts at 9 p.m.
The all-female band Karmic Tattoo performs from 7:30 — 11 p.m. at Biff Burger, 3939 49th St. N., St. Pete.
Jessica Wild, contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season two, is the special guest performer at Liquid Tampa, 1502 E. 7th Ave., Tampa. Doors open at 9 p.m. Wild will perform twice throughout the evening. General admission tickets are $5 and VIP meet and greet tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchases online here.
Saturday, July 20
Gay St. Pete House, 4505 5th Ave. N., hosts a Bears in Paradise pool party and cookout, provided by the Tampa Bay Bears and Clearwater Bears. Bears and admirers welcome. Burgers, hot dogs, water and soda will be provided. Please bring a dish to share and your desired beverage. The party runs from 12 — 4 p.m.
Liquid Tampa, 1502 E. 7th Ave., Tampa, presents a Glow Party, with DJ Ants out of Orlando, from 9 p.m. — 3 a.m. Kamden Cas will be the special guest. Free cover before 11 p.m. and glow toys will be given away throughout the night. Entry is $5 after 11 p.m.
Head to Sarasota’s Throb Night Club for the Britney Spears Experience presented by Ronny Barnett, 9 p.m. — 2 a.m. DJ Lexx will drop Britney videos and tracks in the mix all night and Spotlight performer Shontelle T. Sparkles will be serving up two hot Britney impersonation numbers. Cover is $5 after 10 p.m. and free vodka drinks from 10 — 11 p.m.

Metro Wellness and Community Center in St. Pete, 3251 3rd Ave. N., offers a cooking class from 6 — 7:30 p.m. Learn how to roll your own sushi. Samples, wine and soda will be provided. Suggested donation is $5. Limited to 10 students. RSVP to LGBT@metrotampabay.org.

There’s always something going on at the The Broken Tusk, 4685 28th St. N., St. Petersburg, on Sundays. On the first and third Sundays, Bitchy Bingo begins at 7 p.m. And on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, Alex brings you Trashy Trivia starting at 9 p.m.
Juicy Sundays are back at Ybor’s Level III Nightclub, 1611 7th Ave. Featuring three levels of remodeled party space and a rooftop patio overlooking the Tampa skyline. DJ Charles Machado spins the hits and enjoy performances by the Juicy Drag Team. No cover all night. $1 drinks from 10 — 11 p.m.
