As fans might know already, radio host Ira Glass, beloved for his storytelling hour, This American Life, will appear live at the Mahaffey in St. Petersburg on Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. for the WUSF Public Media event Reinventing Radio: An Evening with Ira Glass.The creator of the Public Radio International show will talk about his broadcast from WBEZ in Chicago, how he mixes stories and matches up stories with pre-taped quotes and music, re-creating the sound of the show as the audience watches. Fans can also expect humorous and memorable past favorites and background info about their creation.
