The Hip Hop ABCs is all about lists (and Hip Hop). We’ve been running through the alphabet picking the best artist or group whose name starts with that letter. We are nearly at the end of the list but with lots of folks still talking about Weird Al Yankovic’s 8 videos in 8 days roll-out of what is supposed to be his final full-length album, we got to thinking about some great parody songs he didn’t do but should have.
As great as the video above is, there are some potential gems not on Mandatory Fun or any of his 14 studio albums. We can only hope he sees this and decides to make some of them happen. Here they are in no particular order.
The Top 10 Rap Parodies Weird Al Yankovic Should Have Made
10. I Used To Hover (I Used To Love H.E.R. by Common)
Turn Common Sense’s classic ode to hip hop herself into a hilarious trip down memory lane where a Marty McFly-esque character gets nostalgic about the hover board adventures of his youth.
9. Forgot About Bae (Forgot About Dre by Dr. Dre & Eminem)
Bae’s (before anyone else) are not used to taking a backseat. This angst-filled affirmation features our protagonist reminding the listener who should be the primary focus.
8. Poison My Foot (Boyz In The Hood by Eazy-E)
This tale of toe woe center details the dangers of jellyfish attacks.
7. Light The Tower (Fight The Power by Public Enemy)
If you think these farmers get bored, imagine how much time a lighthouse operator has. Weird Al assumes the role of one of these deacons of the beacon to remind us of how important this job is.
6. Crapper Delights (Rapper's Delight by Sugar Hill Gang)
Toilets can be the best seat in the house and this song would explain just how much fun one can have while doing a number two.
5. Hunting For A G-String (Nothing But A G Thang by Dr. Dre & Snoop)
You can’t be ready for summer without the right bikini, right? G-strings are king and this song would tell you why.
4. Time's Playing Tricks on Me (Mind's Playing Tricks On Me by the Geto Boys)
Alzheimer’s disease is no joke to the more than 5 million Americans it affects but a quick Google search reveals that many seek humor to ease the pain. This song would be repetitive first-person re-countings of these elderly assisted living residents’ day.
3. Panty Touch (Ante Up by MOP)
Spring Break is the setting for this turbo-charged hilariously aggressive panty raid anthem.
2. Let's Get Weird In Coach (Let Me Clear My Throat by DJ Kool)
If being uncomfortably close to total strangers while 30,000 feet in the air sounds like the perfect time to party, this song would be your soundtrack.
1. 99 Swallows (But A Sip Aint One) (99 Problems by Jay-Z)
We all know that guy who can’t remember his kids' names but can tell you the alcohol by volume of the top 50 craft beers. This would be his theme song.

Hopefully you’ll find these parody song concepts humorous. Maybe you'll think they're terrible and have that much more respect for what Weird All has done for more than three decades. Make sure you check out his new album either way.
Do you have a rap parody idea we missed?
