Summer Jam

One decade. Outside of WMNF’s Tropical Heatwave, there aren’t very many more Ybor-centric festivals like Summer Jam. The celebration of what’s right in the Tampa Bay creative scene has always been a bookend to the sweltering summer, and while there’s always been a next year, Summer Jam finally shut it down for good. Many SJ alums like Booker & Norton and Merchandise (who played the ninth and second installments, respectively) are now world touring acts, so it’ll be interesting to see if another tastemaking event will arise in its wake.
