The SyFy Channel landed a monster hit with the July 11 airing of campy Z-movie Sharknado, and the basic cable network has been looking for ways to cash in ever since. In addition to a planned sequel set in New York City, Sharknado will also get a midnight screening on Fri., Aug. 2. Bay area fans have three options for catching Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and a flying armada of finned killing machines on the big screen, with screenings taking place at Park Place Stadium 16 (7200 U.S. 19 N, Pinellas Park), Citrus Stadium Park Mall 20 (7999 Citrus Park Town Center Mall, Tampa) and Hollywood Stadium 20-Sarasota (1993 Main St., Sarasota).
