Another week, another full lineup of shows at clubs across the Tampa Bay area. There's a lot of diversity in this weekend's shows, from the comedic styles to the performers themselves. Here are your best bets this week:

Comedy Clubs

Godfrey at Tampa Improv. He almost looks too young to be such a comedy vet, but Godfrey has more than two decades of stand-up experience and used to warm-up the crowds for "The Cosby Show." Expect plenty of sharp wit and the likable personality that's made him a staple in movies and television. Could be some big crowds, too. So if you're going, get seats early. Showtimes are Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. 1600 E. Eighth Ave., Tampa. Info: improvtampa.com or 813-864-4000.

Michael Mack at Tampa Improv. Mack's show includes plenty of music, a few impressions, some song parodies. If you like creative comedy that goes beyond a mic and a stage, this is a good set to catch. Showtime is Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Maz Jobrani at Side Splitters. Jobrani was born in Iran and raised in San Francisco. Just imagine what a comedian can do with that upbringing. Dubbed the "Persian Pink Panther," Jobrani touches on topics you might not hear in politically-correct company. But then again, there's no place for that at a comedy club, anyway. These are Special Engagement shows. Showtimes are Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., and Saturday at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. 12938 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa. Info: sidesplitterscomedy.com or 813-960-1197.

Devin Siebold at Side Splitters. Siebold is 6-foot-6 and taught middle school, so there's no shortage of material. Siebold makes the most of it with clever storytelling and a knack for punch lines. Showtime is Sunday at 7 p.m.

Landry at Snappers Grill & Comedy Club. Landry is Canadian, but looks like he might have come from the southern border instead. He mines plenty of clever material from his interracial background, mixing youthful energy with a likable stage presence. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. 36657 U.S. 19 N., Palm Harbor. Info: snappersgrill.com or 727-938-2027.

B.J. Odom at 2 Palms. Comedy magic is Odom's game, so if you enjoy some slight-of-hand with your comedy set, this is the show for you this weekend.  Showtime is Saturday at 8:30 p.m. 2950 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Clearwater. Info: tampabaycomedy.com or 727-741-8014.

Pete Dearaujo at Babbo's Italian Bistro & Wine Bar. Dearaujo displays a comfortable style as he transitions from setup to setup. That's not surprising, since he has decades of experience and easygoing stage presence.  Showtime is Friday at 9 p.m. 13575 58th St. N., Clearwater. Info: 727-538-4273 or babbosbistro.com.
