Tech protection, that is — for your iPod, for your phone, and for your laptop or tablet or both.
Sure, you could go naked. But that’s risky. The minute my protection failed I dropped my phone in spectacular fashion. A visit to the Apple store to repair said phone is what led me to arrive at the topic for this column.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if they sold the damn things in protective cases to begin with?” mused CL Editor David Warner.
That would be great, practically speaking — but then you might be less inclined to personalize your tech.

Tampa Bay Fashion Week announced the 2013 designer lineup. Congratulations to Audrey “Pat” McGhee, Elizabeth Carson Racker, Khendrix ClothingDesign, Lolodaisy by Lorena, Monstrousite by Dolly Donshey, Rachana Suri, Rhonda Shear, Sandra Hagen and SW8 by Stephen Ogaga. Plus, there will be an IADT student designer showcase. The festivities run from Sept. 13-21.
Local men’s fashion label Black & Denim Apparel Company is opening its first retail location in Ybor City (1910 East 7th Avenue). Mayor Bob Buckhorn will do the honors at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.
