The George Zimmerman trial was quotable throughout (who could forget opening-argument classics like “Fucking punks, they always get away!” or “Knock Knock”?), but the best line entered into the official record belonged to Trayvon Martin’s friend Rachel Jeantel, who testified that the hoodie-wearing Skittles fan-turned-murder-victim told her he was being followed by a “creepy-ass cracker.” A week of breathless TV news punditry followed, but no one could really say whether or not it was a racial slur. Either way, it would be ideal reading for that asshole tailgating you across the Howard Frankland.
