Scottish born, American made comedian/actor Craig Ferguson is the trippiest straight man you’ll ever see on TV. On The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, he’s ornery yet likable, his dry, self-deprecating humor and absurdist tendencies on full display, minus all the explosive cursing you see in his stand-up specials and plus two (non-human) sidekicks — Geoff Peterson, an animatronic robot-skeleton with a Mohawk (voiced by actor/comedian/impressionist Josh Robert Thompson), and a pantomime horse (Secretariat, first introduced during the Disney film and currently being weird on nearly every show).
[jump]In his 2013 Netflix comedy special, I’m Here To Help, his flamboyant joke-telling and stream-of-consciousness observations touch on, among other topics, fatherhood, shark penises, Helen of Troy, the ever-lasting drama of Jen, Brad and Angelina (“Calling Angelina Jolie a husband stealer is like calling Hitler a vegetarian; it’s true but it’s hardly the fucking story, now is it?”)
