If you love maps and expressive visual art, then Cartography of the Soul is a sure bet for you — even if the capitals and legends are of the most figurative sort. Participating artists include Carrie Jadus, Mark Aeling, Femily Killer, Joe Coleman, Paul Glass, Salvador Saint Germain, Carolina Cleere, Bask, Mark Levasseur and Sarah Dees. Reception tonight 6-9 p.m. Soft Water Studio, 515 22nd St. S., 727-344-9695.

John Lichtenstein, whose trippy triptych of works is pictured above, has kindred sensibilities to the pop icon who shares his surname and has created more than 250 paintings this year alone . You have one last shot to see his show at Venture Compound, which closes tonight. A stellar lineup of psych/garage rock/pop bands makes the night even special — Wooden Burial Indian Ground, Alexander and the Grapes, Florida Kilos and Luxury Mane will perform. 8 p.m., The Venture Compound, 2621 Fairfield Ave. S., Tampa. $5. facebook.com/TheVentureCompound.

Coralette Damme, known and loved by many as the Crafty Hag (craftyhag.com) and for her work at Studio@620, has been appearing at craft festivals and art markets, hawking her functional hand printed gift-ware and cards. Here's a chance to delve into her more personal and introspective works in Lost in the Wilderness, a show about "finding hidden messages, seeking direction, interpreting personal symbols, accepting cosmic instruction, and the inner search of oneself." Reception is 6-9 p.m. tonight at The Studio@620.

"I'm trying to limit it to about 30 pieces, but I may go salon style and just show as much as I can," the artist says. Artwork will remain on display through Dec. 10. Additional gallery hours will be posted at a later date and are also available by appointment. Call 727-895-6620 for additional information. 620 First Ave. S., St. Pete, studio620.org

Be inspired by local creative minds at Pecha Kucha V. 13 tonight at the Tampa Museum of Art. Designer, geek, fabricator Gordon Tarpley; tactical urbanites Urban Conga; 83 Degrees writer and editor Diane Egner, music editor David Hendricks; choreographer Erin Tracy; professor and architect Shannon Bassett; local loudmouth Michael Maurino, and an unnamed artist from USF. Several CL readers might already be familiar with the Pecha Kucha, but for those new to the event format, it's a presentation based on the Japanese word for "chit chat." Each presenter usually displays 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each (six minutes and 40 seconds in total). Doors open at 7 p.m.; presentations begin at 8 p.m. sharp. $5 general admission. Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, downtown Tampa. tampamuseum.org.
