Calling all the suave gents and lovely ladies; it’s time to bust out that trendy get-up you’ve been dying to wear and strut your stuff at the Bay Area’s premier fashion party.
Brought to you by The Fashion Movement, Bow Ties and Clutches makes its return to the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts after its triumphant debut last year — and not to mention earning itself a Creative LoafingBest of the Bay award.
[jump]Ladies are expected to show up on the red carpet with that signature clutch in hand and men with bow ties knotted (or clipped, depending on your level of expertise). Murmurings of designer brands and hot shopping spots may dominate the evening’s conversations, as you lose yourself in a night of music, art exhibits and complimentary tastings.
Live music provided by Paul Stevens & Co, in addition to the event’s live DJ, will keep the tunes going all night while you sample a variety of foods, drinks and desserts. Peruse the museum’s various art exhibits and even view a special photographic art display by Leandro Gongora.
All proceeds, including the raffle tickets sold at the event, will benefit Friends of Joshua House — a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned children in the Tampa Bay community (for more information, visit friendsofjoshuahouse.org).
$35. Sat., Dec. 7, 8 p.m. — 1 a.m. 400 N. Ashley Dr., Tampa. Purchase tickets at bowtiesandclutches2013.eventbrite.com.
