Queens, N.Y.-based rapper, chef, and stoner extraordinaire Action Bronson will take a second stab at playing the Bay area when he stops by the Orpheum on Sat., March 21 for the Tampa Pro Party, hosted by the Skate Park of Tampa.
The food-fond and often-hilarious MC came pretty close to playing 'round these parts back in July 2012 when he was scheduled for a headlining gig at the Local 662 in St. Pete. The show (or, at least Bronson's appearance) was cancelled just hours before, following what Bronson deemed "extreme malpractice on the promoters part." There were some unsubstantiated claims that he and his crew had trashed an Orlando hotel room the night before, expecting the promotor to foot the bill, but who knows? (No, seriously, who knows? I'm desperately picturing Bronsolini jumping off the edge of his bed to drop elbows on roadies, or slamming his mini-fridge through the wall with one big beefy hand.)
Either way, he'll be back on March 21 as part of his "Blue Chips 2 Tour." Following a jaunt through Europe with Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, Bronson's Tampa debut is definitely one worth looking forward to as this dude's been nothing short of prolific when it comes to his live antics.
According to Ticketmaster, tickets go on sale tomorrow, February 26, at 10 AM.
