
The Weather Channel's forecast warns of thunderstorms this afternoon/evening and showers with a possible thunderstorms Saturday morning. Things will lighten up later with variable clouds during the afternoon but there's still a chance of showers. Sunday should be mostly sunny. More details here. Plan accordingly. Some events have been canceled, such as the Friday Extra Concert Series at Lowry Park. Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs' Relay for Life has been rescheduled for May 9.

Attention hamburger lovers: The Burger Showdown has chefs from Danny's All American Diner, Ferg's, Eats American Grill and others competing in a grill-tastic fest at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park today. (That's next weekend with gallery walks in St. Pete and Dunedin), but tonight's the Seminole Heights First Fridays with some great Tampa galleries open late for pop-ins. In St. Pete, Denis Gaston: New Works will open with a reception at Lance Rodger's Five Deuces Galeria.
