Katy Perry with Capitol Cities I have a confession to make: something about the bumpin’ production, anthemic chorus and foolish yet clever guest rhymes of rapper Juicy J have made me a fan of “Dark Horse.” It doesn’t hurt that the Katy Perry track (off her fourth and latest, Prism) was playing at various key moments during a memorable weekend in NYC and reminds me of the trip very time I hear it. The single went 3x platinum in the U.S. alone (and Prism was 2013’s 14th best-selling album in the world), so I guess I shouldn’t feel so guilty about being partial to it. I mean, 5 million people can’t be wrong, can they? 7 p.m., Tampa Bay Times Forum, Tampa. —Leilani Polk
Robb Bank$ with Mikey Rocks Broward County resident and SpaceGhostPurrp collaborator Robb Bank$ leads the charge of the recently influential hip hop artists emerging from Florida. He makes his Tampa debut on this night. Rap aficionados may question his ‘hood upbringing after internet sleuths discovered his dad is reggae singer Shaggy, but Bank$ continues to spark intrigue by contrasting verses full of Pokemon references to gems like “We just fuckin’, fuck your assumptions / Say that with me, I see that comin’,” and setting them against futuristic, spacey production chock-full of reverberating high-hats and muted drums. 7 p.m., Orpheum, Ybor City.—Cody Smith
