After huge crowds packed the Grand Central District on Saturday for St. Pete Pride's first nighttime parade some observers wondered whether the turnout would be diluted for the street festival the following day. It certainly didn't seem so. At Creative Loafing's booth in the 2600 block of Central Avenue, a steady stream of festivalgoers stopped by to play games (""Every time the wheel spins a drag queen gets her wings"), win prizes, enjoy Todd Bates' shaded installation of past CL Pride covers, and pose for photos by DrunkCameraGuy (aka Chris Spires and Marci Richter). Meanwhile, Chip Weiner roved the festival photographing performers, politicians and other lovable creatures all day long.
